CLIMATE
The average temperature in the Nassau Bahamas ranges from 80-90 degrees in summer months; from 70-80 degrees during the winter months. The Nassau Bahamas area does experience rain year-round. They consider the months of May through October to be the rainy season.

SNORKELING & DIVING
The Bahamas offer some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving and is included in your package price at Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort. Coral reefs, Blue holes, Walls, Caves, Caribbean Shipwrecks, Sharks, Dolphins, and Stingrays are just a few of the many exciting things that might be seen in this light-turquoise colored ocean. Night diving is offered at most resorts at an additional cost.
GOLFING
For those who love to golf, you will have 2 different Caribbean resort golf courses to choose from and all are highly recommended: The Cable Beach Golf Course and the South Ocean Golf Course. Both Caribbean resort vacation golf courses are open to the public. Golf is not included at Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort or Breezes Nassau Resort.
FLIGHTS
You can fly to the Bahamas from Milwaukee, usually with only one connection, sometimes two depending on the air carrier that you use. Once you arrive in Nassau, you will be on the Eastern Time Zone. There is a Departure Tax that must be paid in cash at the airport ticket counter in Nassau. The Departure Tax is approximately $15.00 per person U.S. Dollars.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Island Resort Vacation Guests and Island Visitors from the U.S.A. and Canada may enter without a passport, if they have an original birth certificate (or, a notarized copy) and a photo id (ex. Driver's License). All resort visitors must hold a round trip ticket.
CUISINE
Some of the different local Caribbean resort cuisine ranges from peas n' rice, conch chowder, conch fritters, and conch salads.

WEDDINGS IN THE BAHAMAS
For those who would like to enjoy a romantic Caribbean resort wedding and get married in the Bahamas, you will need the following:
- Wedding Couples must be on the Caribbean Island for 15 days prior to apply for a marriage license (or one day if a waiver is granted by The Registrar General).
- The marriage license must be obtained at least one day prior to the wedding.
- Birth certificates and notarized affidavit are required.
- If appropriate, you will also need divorce papers; a former spouse's death certificate
You must be on the island for 24 hours to establish residency and enjoy a Caribbean Island Wedding. The charge for the Marriage License fee is $225.00 U.S. Dollars.
